Poems II

1. This poem's origin is from book 2 of the Ian Cormac series by Neal Asher- one of my favourite science fiction authors. It describes an artificially created alien race and their purpose in the book.
Crocodile Tears:
Ithyphallic, idiotropic Iguana
Ingravescent, intumescent injury inflames Itai-itai

Compliments of a cadmean, cacophemistic Krieg.
Cardialgia of le coeur; circumforaneous combatant
Constantly coming home to his coruscating copine-
his calefacient Chimera.
Keeping Chaud
Kalt killings
during crushing campaigns.

From impeccable, indefectible infantry-imagoes,
skein of scales survives.
Iniquitous Iguanas.
There is a reason beyond my own penchant for alliteration
why it occurs here. And it is linked to Iguanas.
I chose Iguanas for two reasons:
1. While the alien race is reptilian and closer to dinosaurs in the book
when I think of anthropomorphising a lizard as a soldier,
iguanas stick out the most.
This however could have been influenced by the second reason:
2. Remember Animalia?

Also note which words are capitalised and which are not.
